Absinthe: A Show Not For Many

Las Vegas is known for its glitz and glamour. You will find bars open all night, casinos that never seem to run out of customers, endless buffets, strips shows, and burlesque dancers, all in one place. So, if you are looking to have a good time, then Vegas has it all, and Vegas can cater to many different needs. Apart from the usual, Vegas is also known for its shows as well, and you will find a variety of them, ranging from Chris Angel’s magic shows to the infamous Cirque de Soleil and so on.

Now, apart from the usual shows, there is one that appears to stand out from the rest, and if you are one to enjoy the unconventional, then you should look into Absinthe in Las Vegas. Absinthe is a show that has been running in Caesar’s palace since 2011 and is still going strong. It is a rather different show, and it features a few former members of the Cirque de Soleil. Their show usually lasts 90 minutes, and there is quite a lot going on the entire time.

You will have a cynical, purposely greasy looking host who will be introducing acts, and at the same time, will be cracking jokes at the audience’s expense. You will have a burlesque show where the performer sings live while doing it, then there is a rather explicit sock puppet routine, a few balancing acts, and a variety of stunts happening as well. Absinthe appears to mix between standard entertainment shows, and more explicit strip and burlesque shows, so it can be considered to be a marriage between the two genres, but at the same time, it does not lose its variety touch or quirkiness either, so if you are looking to watch something truly different, then Absinthe is the way to go.
